Debase Yourself

Hey everyone — Adam here. If I had made a New Year’s resolution this year — which I didn’t, because honestly, there’s no better way to guarantee you won’t do something — it would have been “go outside your comfort zone.” And as a sketch comedian, what better way to do that than to dive into a form of comedy which is much more difficult and totally unfamiliar to me? You know what I’m talking about — standup!

If you’d like to be there at the moment that I break all expectations, barriers, and world records, I’ll be performing this coming Monday (January 8th) at Debasement, The Delancey bar’s weekly free comedy showcase. Doors open at 9, as does the open bar, as if you could possibly need any more deal-sweetening. Let me say that again: this comedy show has an open bar.

Here is the above paragraph rendered in convenient tabular form:

Debasement, hosted by Nick Henderson and Abe Jellinek; appearing with Matt Goldich (Premium Blend) and Chris Glover
The Delancey
168 Delancey St., Manhattan
Doors open at 9 PM
Open bar from 9 to 10 PM

fee, I’d call the bar and ask if you can get in any way. Some bars will let you in if they give you an “under 21” stamp. No idea if this one will, of course, but it’s worth a shot.

  8. kevin Says:

you should have someone record it. then you can say some bad stuff to the black people that will probably be heckling you. that’s the easiest way to become famous nowadays. try blaming black people for all of the wars in the world.
