This is for all you real hard-core, long-time fans, not those fuckers who read our blog (or my blog) (jk, I love all our fans) (but I love you guys most).
Here's what's going on in the world of Raphael (and Olde English):
Spoiler! :
* I live in L.A. now. Caleb also lives here, but he is actually back in New York right now, working on a short film. I am subletting his room. I live across the hall from Caleb's brother Theo. Theo is very nice; you would like him.
* I've been focusing on my writing. I've been doing a little freelance writing, and also writing stuff on spec, and also meeting with a lot of people. In the past several months, two of my plays were performed in New York. They were great, and if you missed them, YOU MISSED OUT.
* I wrote a pilot for a sitcom called the Incredible Bean Children, which Sony shot a presentation for in the fall and is currently trying to pitch to networks. That whole process has been very surreal.
* Olde English's biggest project over the last two years has been putting together different variations of a script we call How To Be Alone. It's been a pilot, a short film, and a webseries. We're still looking for funding, but we're planning on making it this summer, even if we have to spend our own money.
* We also wrote and recorded a short cartoon pitch pilot called World of Bob that is currently being animated by PUNY (the guys who did Akon calls T-Pain). It'll probably be a while still (animation is a long process), but what PUNY's sent back so far is super-cool, as the French say.
* In May, Ben and Dave are co-directing a very funny, very very weird feature film written by Adam, Dave, Joel (yes, that Joel), our friend Chioke, and me. Caleb is starring in the movie, and the rest of us will probably make small, very weird appearances. This film is as of now untitled, but we've been calling it The Exquisite Corpse Project. This movie is so fucking weird and I love it and I can't wait for all of you to see it.
* After that, Dave and his fiancee are moving out here and Ben and his wife are moving to a tropical island off the coast of Belize. (No, really.) I think the assumption among everyone is that Adam will also move out here eventually, but it will probably take a little longer, because he loves New York and has a lot going on for him there.
* A few weeks ago, I got in my very first L.A. car accident! It was scary!
* You might see some more sketches from us at some point, but don't expect anything as fancy as what we did during the super deluxe years. If anything, we might toss something silly on the website while we're working on our bigger projects.

Wow, that is great news. It is nice to hear you are all doing really well. Can't wait to see this stuff. So what happened in the accident?
P.S. Finally my plan of getting you all on the west coast is working! I now have two options. I can either stalk you guys, or completely ignore you guys. I am kind of torn right now.

Re: I Hate Nature 2
dear raphael,
that all sounds awesome and I'm very proud of you/OE (mostly you 'cause you bothered to let us know). I'm going to be in LA for a few days in July! What's some cool stuff to do out there that doesn't involve car accidents?

Thank you so much for letting us know!
You guys are so much more freaking cool than me, it's not even cool.
Also, Belize is wonderful. My ex lived there for two years and raves about it all the time. (Though I'm guessing Ben isn't looking for hair-raising encounters with giant crocodiles in the middle of hurricanes or anything...so my ex probably wouldn't be helpful for information.) Best wishes to those two.
Please update us when any of these projects come to fruition. It would be awesome.

I approve of all of that.

I'm kind of getting excited for theExquisite Corpse movie and the Incredible Bean Children, although I have no idea what either of those titles could possibly mean!

The Exquisite Corpse Movie sounds like the best thing ever. I have several ideas of what it could be, but I'll keep them to myself to let your own imaginations percolate.

You should "like" it, even though you haven't actually seen it yet. Just say you like it for now, and then when you see it, if you decide you don't like it, then you can unlike it on facebook.

I am way ahead of you. And by that, I mean about two hours behind you.

For anyone who didn't see this, here is Dave's pro/con list during casting for the ECP:
