Greetings OEMB

Just wanted to throw out a little plug for this year's festival. To quickly explain: The Blip Festival is four day event celebrating the chiptune/chip music/micromusic genre and its close relatives. 30+ musicians from around the world reappropriate old videogame hardware (gameboys, nintendos, amigas, etc) as synthesizers to create original compositions.

In addition to 8 musical performances each night, there are also workshops and film screenings during the day. As an all ages event that will only cost you $10 a night ($30 for a 4-day festival pass), it is a fantastic bargain.

And for a mere $15, you can also purchase the DVD (produced by my company) that features one video for each of the 32 performer's* from Blip '06. They go on sale the first night of the festival. Online orders will follow shortly thereafter.

A few links to said videos, to give you an idea of what to expect:

second: nullsleep (playing again this year)

(and yes, the VersaTile pixel display behind him will be back this year)

so yeah, a good time will be had by all who attend. check it out and/or recommend it to friends in NY who would be interested.

The Festival will be held in Manhattan and runs from Nov 29-Dec.

all details /links for purchasing tix can be found here:
