Patience is a virtue. Also, it's not called "snail mail" for nothing.

I just found out I've been pronouncing John Darnielle's last name wrong this entire time.

Yeah, that's how I thought it was pronounced. It's funny, I even had a dream in which John Darnielle told me his last name rhymes with "omni-elle" (which, in the land of my dreams, means an omnivorous gazelle).

But no, it's apparently pronounced "Darn-eel."

Shocked

That rocked the very foundations of my world. And I am, in fact, in love with the word 'omni-elle'.

I hope that it's synched up better in the real version.

Usually when I watch a music video I don't think about the process of: artist singing/performing -> dubing original song over music video. However in this video there were little bits when it was slightly off and I started thinking about it. It's like having a clean floor. You know you have a good and clean floor when people don't think about it. That, or they say "Wow. This is the best floor dubing ever."

Thought that might be it. Upon review, I should have said "non-online version" instead of "real version"

I was confused as to why they were beat up. Oh well.

Also, to get back to an old topic: I listened to all three Mountain Goats songs that you and Dave sent me. At first I didn't like Dance Music, but it's grown on me. I don't really care for the two though. It's because of the home-recorded sound that his older songs have. Meh. The other stylistic type reason for why I'm not a fan, is the half singing half talking style. Same reason I don't care much for Ani Difranco

The song is indeed fabulous, but there was something about that video that made me not like it. (The video, that is. I still love the song.)

Yeah, it's not a terribly interesting video, but it's decent. I like the song more.

Now I understand what Chris was saying.

Thanks for the link, Greg.
