The only thing good about the Boxer vs. Raptor sketches is the opening song. And that gets unfunny after one listen.
Seriously, I think I’d rather guzzle down Rodney Dangerfields rancid ass juice then watch another one. But that may just be a personal problem.

I studied for my Botany Midterm. The silence was helpful but unfortunatly it was not hillarious. I now have a more solid basis for the differance between pinnately compound and palmately compound leaves.

I’m glad you made this sketch. It’s important for a sketch group to try stuff like this because you can’t be funny without experimenting. This was awkward, and new, and it’s high-art, even if it doesn’t provoke laughter. People that are turning against you on this board don’t understand what you do, and they remind me of smelly douchebags.

OK at the end “Oh crap I forgot my hat” was funny considering the rest of the sketch. But please don’t do this again. Maybe you should take more time with your sketches. Ofcourse I know that to you I’m nobody, but I think a sketch almost every day will exhaust you. It’s exciting to see a new one every day, but I think to make really funny stuff like the wine guy, you gotta like wait and come up with great ideas :) I’m sorry if I offended somehow….

k i usually love every thing u guys do and all, but this was a really pitiful sketch. i mean no one wants to sit watch nothing happen for five minutes. it was boring.
though i do love to song at the start and the “oh crap i forgot my hat” thing was funny but not worth five minute of boredom. next time put a little more effort into it plz.

Personally, I liked “What a lovely hat, the raptor is jealous!”, but after the song, the sketch went downhill and stayed there. And yet it was still better than the previous Boxer vs. Raptor sketch.

I like old English, but this was the worst video I have ever seen. The joke wasn’t good, little effort was put into the actual technical aspects of the video (especially as it was mostly reused sketch), and there were many glitches. You guys took a week break to make better videos. No matter what that flashing panel was for, the low quality of picture and horrible sound quality made this moving picture terrible.

You guys are experimenting and having fun. That’s great. I like the vids; not my faves but they are better than a lot of the shit there is on the internet. I’m sure that I don’t need to tell you this, but who cares whatever anyone else says, you owe them nothing. Keep experimenting, keep having fun, and I will wait with patiently for the next peice.

I’ll level with you. I wasn’t that much of an Olde English fan at first (when I went to school with you guys), but going back and watching some of that stuff…’salright.
This, however…oh geeze, i dunno. I watched the first one and I laughed because I was all like “oh man I remember ‘lobster sticks to magnet’.” Absurd is the new black, right? fyi everyone, this is “funny” because a) what does a boxer have to do with a raptor? and b) it’s boxer vs. raptor, but it’s a debate [despite the fact that both of these things are culturally violent identities, and we would expect them to physically fight rather than have a battle of wits]…classic comedic non sequitur.
As I said, I watched the first one and I laughed because I remembered ‘lobster sticks to magnet’. I watched this one and…basically, I do not find the boxer and raptor combination to be as inherently humorous as the lobster and magnet, coupled with your ‘absurdly long lull’ comedy technique that operates on the thought of “hey, it’s funny because it’s a comic pause that lasts longer than the audience anticipates” . I think lulls work better for you guys when it’s live footage…there are more little moments to milk. Maybe you wanted brutally dull…I dunno…I didn’t…I wanted him to say “oh shoot, i forgot my hat” at about the 1:30-2:00 mark, because after the intro I was pretty sure that was going to happen…and then it did and I was like “oh…ok”. Then I decided to write you guys this little long-winded comment, and then I’m gonna gonna go get a bowl of cereal and maybe watch cartoons.
oh, also I am stupid and i don’t think this is funny because i am stupid.

Oh my gosh, I remember when I first watched this…I didn’t get mad, I wrote a few poems, checked my email, and made up a dance (and had the silence maybe lasted another thirty seconds I could have learned the cure for the common cold =}) and I’m one of those people who likes to repeat such experiences, which is weird because I am not a very patient person. I loved it. It was very soothing, despite the fact that a fair amount of people didn’t like it.

-I noticed that Boxer did not have his hat like 10 seconds in.
