okay, the ‘honest to blog’ line aside, Juno really was a good movie. And I don’t just say that because, like alex, I’m rooting for our hometown girl Ellen Page. I can’t really say this vid is a favourite, aside from the one part where Dave calls her a ‘mouthpiece for her generation’ and then goes on to describe our generation (and her) as being snobby and probably not belonging on stage. That pretty much describes everyone on youtube below the age of twenty, give or take.
I’ve seen better.
I thought this was making fun of Diablo Cody rather than Juno, and I don’t think liking this sketch and liking Juno are mutually exclusive. After seeing some videos of her, this sketch does seem a tiny bit caricatured, but I think that’s the point.
I thought it was amusing, not my favorite, but I laughed!
I like how offended the women are by this sketch. Is it because it’s not funny? Or is it because its poking fun at your water- downed and gilmore girls injected version of knocked up? Quit being uptight and laugh
I liked it- mainly because I saw it as ridiculing the whole “ooh! Look! Girl wearing odd combinations of clothing and knowing about older bands! She MUST be a humorous quirky teenage!”
No. Not true. Not true at all.
Whether or not that was the video’s intent is beyond me. Thanks for the laugh anyway.
umm ,i’ve been following OE for a while, and you people should just be happy for a new sketch, i liked it, haven’t seen juno yet, mnaybe i should then come back and watch this again, but thanks for the sketch guys!
this was alright. i like the mass amounts of fanboys/girls who can’t enjoy a sketch due to their loyalty to a mediocre movie. i agree this wasn’t your best sketch but it definitely wasn’t bad. as long as you keep making sketches like captain steve’s banana salve and promotion i can also fully enjoy parodies. keep ‘em up, ‘08 looks to be a great year for olde english.
I haven’t seen Juno, but I liked this sketch. Partly because I really like this comedian. Wasn’t she one of the ladies in a sketch you were recently in competition with?
I did enjoy how Dave petered out when he realized he really had nothing good to say.
Hey, I lived in Halifax for 5 years. What’s up with the dominance of the east coast of Canada in this here reply page?
Okay, completely amazing. The spoofs are a dime a dozen, but this one really rocked it. Glad that more people can see through this crap. Thanks for REAL comedy.
ha i loved the sketch. juno was pretty funny and the soundtrack was cool but c’mon guys, it was a stupid movie. ive actually herd girls in my school say, “a baby wouldnt be that big of a deal, i’ve seen juno” getting preggers is not fixed by a bunch of witty rhymes and everyones trying to seem so indie and awesome for liking it
I felt alone in a raging sea of out of control Juno/Diablo Cody fans [who are apparently stinking drunk on hyperbole] until I saw this. It’s like a beacon of sanity on an otherwise sheeple-ish landscape. Not to mention, it’s f***ing hilarious sanity. I shall stalk this video, pass it to my ‘Juno’ loving friends, and say it’s the funniest thing on the net [until I'm distracted by the newest posts on LOLcats I mean...]
Ever since you guys sold out to Super Deluxe, your material has steadily been getting worse. Super Deluxe is humorless mindless crud and I think your writers have been watching far too much of it.

Sweet stuff :D

Lol… I loved Juno. I wish Page would win the oscar, but she wont.
Oh well, all of our hometown is cheering for her!

“My name’s Olde English, and I know how to alter height/width parameters in my embed code.”
Seriously, though, funny as hell.
February 20th, 2008 at 6:08 pm
you guys are hilarious
February 20th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Wow. Just total crap. I’d expect this from Fark Tv, but not from you guys. Come On!

INCREDIBLE!

You guys are more creative than this.
:(
February 21st, 2008 at 4:11 pm
So we can’t download the videos anymore?
February 21st, 2008 at 5:14 pm
This is awesome. It’s refreshing to know I’m not alone in my opinion of this Juno insanity.
February 22nd, 2008 at 1:34 am
Fantastic sketch. Juno blew chunks.

jackie clarke is the best.
she has a indie stand up following here in Chile.

She just won the oscar for best screenplay.
Still, this is pretty funny.
February 25th, 2008 at 12:27 am
Also, ph1rst oscar post.
February 25th, 2008 at 4:03 am
That laugh… it’s almost like a female Pee-Wee Herman.
February 26th, 2008 at 3:41 pm
…not your best work guys.

I’m a fan of you guys, but if you’re going to make fun of good writing, do it with good writing.
March 1st, 2008 at 4:56 am
“My name means the devil in spanish!
…
Water is agua…”
and, “Did I ever tell you I used to be a stripper?”
Oohhhhhhhh, Diablo! I love you so much!
March 2nd, 2008 at 10:33 am
It’s because the east coast of Canada understands how truly awesome OE, Juno, and Ellen Page are.
The trifecta!
March 4th, 2008 at 4:09 am
Yes. Finally someone speaks the truth about the crappy dialogue in that god forsaken movie. Good work OE.
March 9th, 2008 at 7:09 pm
I don’t know guys. This wasn’t bad, but you’ve certainly done a lot better…
March 10th, 2008 at 7:30 am
geez
they make a good clever sketch and some of you guys say its bad and uncreative just because you liked the movie
I for one thought this was hilarious and very smart
Juno is not such a masterpiece that no one can ever make fun of it and you can trash an expert parody on it
March 23rd, 2008 at 11:03 pm
I liked Juno.
March 25th, 2008 at 4:41 pm
I loved the sketch! Good parody of Diablo Cody and the writing in Juno. Keep up the great videos guys they never disappoint.
March 26th, 2008 at 11:27 pm
I love Juno but this sketch was pretty funny. not your best though.
April 4th, 2008 at 6:12 pm
“Before you can love another person, there’s someone else you have to love. . . Me! Doablo Cody!”
XD Loved it!
April 19th, 2008 at 7:58 pm
I paused the script like five million times to read it. “Leaky’s Delivery Service.” ha ha. You should have reinacted a scene.
